I have just come back from shopping in Salisbury. The round trip has taken ages. Just before a narrow bridge there was a sign that said:

'Wait at this point for large lorries'

I waited about 20 minutes before one turned up. The cars behind me were getting really angry, prior to this. I think they must have been just as cross as we were with such a long wait. Honestly, no wonder road-rage exists.

Tell me about it, Phil. I've just spent my entire Christmas break stuck at work, just to find out that the sign on the door reading "keep closed at all times" doesn't actually mean that you can't open it to exit the building.

I'm furious, to say the least!!!

Just got out of the Nick after yet another motorway matrix sign 'issue'! "Spray slowdown" it said, so I popped into Halfords, picked up a few cans and was busily painting the warning onto bridge parapets and signs along the M3 when plod rolls up and slaps the cuffs on.

So I've been charged with vandalism, just for being a good citizen and doing my bit for road safety. Seriously, sometimes I wonder if doing your bit for society is really worth the hassle?

I was stuck trying to get out of the loos at work, there's a sign on the back of the door that says "Now wash your hands" - boy, were they wrinkly by the end of the day when the cleaner propped the door open !

What gets me is the fact that everyone goes on about how Speed Kills....
...but I keep seeing "SLOW ACCIDENT" on the signs on Motorways.

Who is it that keeps having these Slow Accidents?

... and for that matter why the blue signs on the side of the road saying "Slow Police" ???
They never drive slowly through MY village !

I'm right with you, Minvo. The matrix on the M3 the other day said "slow down accident", so I put my foot down and sure enough, not a scratch
