Your coupe has great handling Mark. I also love those tires it comes on. I miss those tires in an age of low profile and run flat tires. Best tires for the potholed roads around where we live.

So Mark - this new guy at work drives a year old BMW 750 Li. He was in Troy last evening and went through a pothole on Hoosick street and that caused a flat. He is running run-flats and I overheard him talk to Keeler BMW who appeared to have quoted him $340 for the tire plus labor charges. I thought of you and how relieved you must be running around in that Civic. You are long overdue for an update. Did the car get washed over the last 2 days?

when you say more "practical" I'm not sure what to suggest.
But you cant go wrong with a Subaru WRX, or a Mazda 6 or Mazda 3.
Just depends how little you want to spend and what you'll use it for.
You could also get a eco boost extended cab truck or some kinda eco boost SUV.
or go minivan (doesn't get any more practical than that)
hot-hatches are also very popular right now, and the ford focus seems legit.

here are some pretty detailed reviews that nitpick every aspect of every vehicle and direct you to the best dollar value for each category of car (link) http://thewirecutter.com/leaderboard/cars/
^^^i really like this site^^^

I think he is beyond the point of taking suggestions

Haha, $340 is nothing for a 740. He probably loses more than that in depreciation per day! And Hoosick is actually fine now. You should have seen it before it was paved about two years ago. Total minefield. I always took my s2k through Frear Park to eliminate most of it. I actually estimate 1/3 of the miles I put on that car were evasive to avoid rough roads, pitched entrances, construction, and..uh, areas I deemed too dusty, etc. : )

Day.. something: Had the car tinted over the weekend, thus completing my #build. I need to take pictures of this pile.
