Or get a Porsche....PCA is only charging $450 for two days on a WEEKEND !

Nice thing about PCA is that they are S2000 friendly.

Greg - I did reach out to him earlier this season (July 2015 right after we came back from Watkins Glen). He said he'd get back to me as he was in two minds about selling the car. He never got back, so I assume he is keeping it.

Just to mention that I really liked the Pocono Southeast Option 3 course. May 14-15. The Southeast Course (July 9) is also challenging but much slower. Here are a few of my laps on the Southeast Option 3 course.

I just got an email from NASANA,

"Pre-Season special pricing is now open for a limited time, ending on Jan
31. This special saves you $100 on a three day package or $50 on a two
day. Special pricing is available for the April and June NJMP, May
Pocono or July Palmer events.

Register today to save fees on these events !!

http://www.nasane.com"

We did Friday & Saturday with NASA last year at Palmer and it was phenominal. Low turnout on Friday meant tons of track time.
I`m probably going to take advantage of the offer for the Palmer dates in July.

I haven't been to NJMP or Pocono before - what do ya`ll think of those locations? Is it worth it?

Lee Carpentier, the instructor who came to Jeff Daigle's Loose Nut Motorsports events, said we would like the Lightning Course at NJMP. Said it flowed like Lime Rock.

I've been to Pocono an number of times, always with the MG, and mostly running the North Course. The guys in Metro run Pocono North for the last few years with a Miata group and love it.

I liked the Southeast Option 3 course best. Running through Turn 1 on the main track is a real experience. G Forces pushing you down and out at the same time. You really needed to keep your eyes way, way up. Otherwise you'll have the sense that you'll run into the wall. This give the longest run at WOT.

The Southeast course did not go out on the main track. Perhaps more technical, but slower. Still fun.

I have run 2 different configurations at Pocono during both SCCA races and HPDE. The infield sections are OK at best but its flatter than flat. Running the double infield seems to be the best for me, closest layout to a real road course.

But if you run the IMSA course which uses Turns 1 and 2, its fast, very fast with speeds well over 150 mph. Bigger cars can do 170 mph and its pretty darn scary - looking straight up at a cement wall at 150 mph.....oh yeah, they tell you NOT to look at the wall.

NJMP Lightening is much more fun than Pocono but still not as good as the Thunderbolt course. Lightening is a very fast course and seems to be more fun for smaller to medium HP cars, but it does has several very fast sections. I like it better than LRP as far as course layout and variety but given the choice between 70 mile drive or 280 mile drive to the track, I would go to LRP every chance I get over NJMP. I have raced and done HPDE events there (SCDA used to run NJMP) and based on the fact that its 5 hr hours without traffic I tend to only go there when I need points for a racing series.
