CHIN motor sports has 2 Palmer and 3 Watkins dates.
They allow convertibles and also allow passing anywhere on track - even in the turns.

Jeff - they have the largest track schedule in the country, it is a Billy Fuccillo schedule !! Once I retire from racing I will be looking to become one of their full time instructors so I can travel from Florida to NY enjoying free track time !.

OK, we need to get serious if we want to go to Watkins Glen or Palmer as a group. My schedule is already "booked" for 6 vintage events, so my options are somewhat limited.
Since we all like Lime Rock and Palmer is becoming a favorite, we need to pick some dates. Maybe Aashish can start a poll. These are the available dates. The ones with an asterisk or double asterisk theoretically work for me.
For me, the sooner we know, the better.
Watkins Glen
*April 25 & 26 - Monday Tuesday - NASA-NE
** May 16 & 17 - Monday Tuesday - CHIN
** July 6 & 7 - Wednesday - Thursday - CHIN
** July 18-19 - Monday Tuesday SCDA
September 5-6 - Monday Tuesday CHIN
Palmer
May 21-22 - Saturday Sunday - CHIN
June 7 - Tuesday - SCDA
June 21-22 - Tuesday & Wednesday CHIN
**July 22, 23 & 24 - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - NASA
July 26 - Tuesday - SCDA
Sept. 6 - Tuesday - SCDA
October 1-2 - Saturday & Sunday - Palmer - SCDA

I personally enjoy the SCDA event at Watkins Glen. They also give us the discount which helps. As far as getting a group together is concerned I'd think SCDA is the best bet in terms of track time at Watkins Glen.
The NASA 2 day at Palmer is a good deal too. But you get more from the Friday than you'd get from the Saturday or Sunday. Last time they gave us plenty of track time on Friday. The Saturday sessions were shorter.
If everyone is open to the idea, I'll touch base with Ian & Elivan about getting a discounted rate for Watkins. I say we also do Palmer as a group event. But NASA NE won't give us a discount. It's just a matter of signing up and showing up to have a good time in the company of friends.
Greg has great things to say about Chin and I'm sure they run a great event. Keep in mind though Chin requires purchase of a membership and also bear in mind they have open passing and passing into corners. You have to judge for yourself how comfortable you are with that.

My best bet would be July 18-19 with SCDA at WGI.
No guarantees with college payments, etc. but if I were to do track days in 2016, those would be the ones I would do.
Aashish, if you speak with Ian/Elivan, can you ask them if garages would be available for this event?

Count me in for the SCDA event at Watkins again this year! I had a blast last year and am looking forward to both the full course as well as the new pavement. I will likely run both days this year since only one day was just a tease last year! The car is under the knife this winter with a whole slew of mods coming which is exciting!
Planned mods:
I think a build thread may be in order so I'll have to make sure I get some pics to document the process.
Planned mods:
- Repaint (from Berlina to Cadillac Black Diamond)
- Wheels/tires (17x9 et35 with 255 RS-3s)
- Rear over fenders & front roll/pull
- Catch Can
- Racing seat/6 Pt Harness for driver
- Track Alignment
- Track pads with designated rotors
- Brake ducts (front definitely; rear if I have time)
- Full blown radiator
- Maybe weld in baffled oil pan
- Full fluids

Definitely start a build thread. As far as colors go, how about one of the colors that wasn't available in North America. Sunset Mauve Pearl is a great color and only available in Japan AFAIK. Good luck Matt and I look forward to seeing you in July again.
