Default Kickin up a dust storm

Some video from the side lines at Sebring. Pictures to follow.

Turn up the volume to get full effects of the race cars.

I used to play Sebring on the Xbox a ton, and that first left hander was always hella bumpy and would cause the front end to wash out easily. Seems like that aspect of the track holds true. Any special technique for that stretch Paul & Greg, or is it a case of easy and steady? Such a sweet track that I'll have to visit one day.

Those videos were great. Especially the one with all the race cars. I don't think I've even been to a track event where that much money was on track.

My approach is flat out to the bridge on the front straight, Brake to the end of the pit wall where you turn in looking for the (blind) apex marked by the cone up on the top of the chain link fence (you can see the cone from turn in but not the actual apex). Two wheels inside the yellow line as close to the wall as possible, power down using all the track out to the exit curbing all the way to the T3 braking zone.
What car did you play in the X box? What was the time per lap if you remember? My best this past w/e was 2:35.76

I start by making sure I get a good nights sleep, start with multiple beers followed by shots and then out for a big dinner (Paul's choice on where to go).
Then in the morning you start with an ample breakfast (make sure to wake up Paul before) .
Then get ready by doubling up on my adult "depends" under garments just in case I get into turn ONE over my head.
After all safety precautions have been taken, its all about strapping on a pair of big stones, carrying consistent speed thru a bumpy turn and staying clear of huge exit bump, and hoping you don't over cook the entry.
We saw the result of over shooting and then locking up the brakes, the driver ended up in the tire wall with his instructor

Hahaha the right booze definitely puts the nerves to rest. Paul on the Xbox I want to say I would clock in the high 1 minute range but this also was in a 800 horsepower twin turbo nsx-r that weighed like 2500 lbs, all the aero I could throw at it, and slicks as wide as a Lamborghini countach's rear tires

Good article from Kenton Koch about driving in the rain.

SPEED NEWS - Speed News March 2017

He says tracks with a new surface will have more grip at the apex as the cracks haven't filled in. That explains the grip at Watkins Glen after the repave. It should be more slippery this year now that the surface has aged for a year.
