I gotta say I really didn't care that LeBron did what he did when he went to Miami and all the media hype surrounding him but after watching his ego grow more and more while down here it was sickening. You don't have a pep rally and talk about 8 championships and can't back it up.
He is a great player but it's tragic to his career that his ego is not an entire team. You still need a coach and at least a good supporting cast. Can't say I'm upset or surprised on how great JR Stink and Shumpy turned out to be. They need to get it together. I don't expect the East to stay as lame as it was this year.

i totally agree with you about lebron. he spoke too much and too soon.
if the cavs stay together, their payroll is going to approach $200M. lebron is going to opt out and get a max deal for next yr, then opt out again when the salary cap is supposed to jump and sign 1 last big max deal. love is going to do the same thing.
i think jimmy butler is going to do the same thing.

With that said, do you think the Cavs will continue to be contenders? OR are they going to continue to struggle because they cannot rally (or even have the money) for a solid supporting cast? Not to mention a coach...

dan gilbert said he's going to spend money. i think i read that about $75M of that $200M is going to be in luxary tax. It's kinda like the Nets were last yr. If the cavs bring back the same team, but healthy, they are going to contend again. i think if they had love and irving in the finals, they could have won.
