This place is on my way to work in Boonton. I think it has one of the best selections of mass- and micro-brewed beers in north Jersey.
Liquor Outlet Wine Cellars (www.liquoroutletwinecellars.com). It is easy on, easy off from 287 - - - you can see it from the higway.
The nice thing is they have standard labeling on 75% of the beer showing ABV, 'Malt <->Hop' indicator, 'Light<->Dark' indicator and some brief tasting notes. Easy to make an informed choice.
For the summer, I picked up a few bottle of Estrella Damm Inedit. Awesome taste and made to serve ice cold.
Brooklyn Summer is another go to choice at the moment.
Sam Adams Porch Rocker is great, especially if you have been working outside and just need something to quench your thirst.

there was a few beer threads since I been here. I think a few touched on the IPA's .. I personally can't sand them. Way too much aftertaste. But I wouldn't know since I gave up drinking completely.

Barry... How was the October from Southern Tier? I like that brewery. Wednesday for the giants game I warmed up with a Sculpin IPA from Ballast Point. The had a Sam Adams Baltic IPA. And desert was a Dogzilla Black IPA

ryan, it was really good. very pumpkiny, but not too sweet. i liked it a lot.
i went to the defiant brewery in pearl river, ny yesterday. they have excellent bbq food and i had a few beers too. chocolate stout, pilsner, resolution #4, muddy creek lager, Baron Von Weizen. all were really good beers.
