Advice on buying first ATV (yes..it's a Honda)
Hi everyone,
So winter is coming and PA has been getting some nasty weather over the past few years so I decided to get something to plow my driveway.
I never owned a quad before and found a used 2012 Honda Foreman for 5k. It has electric shift and power steering. The seller advertises it as having low miles (2100) but doesn't list the hours. Is it just me, or is that a ton of miles for a fairly new 4-wheeler.
Just looking for some general feedback..I did a kbb.com and Napa lookup but there's no option to input the miles. But kbb.com listed it for 5k so I guess he's correct with the price.
Anyway..just looking for some genearal feedback thanks for reading.

Can't go wrong with a Honda atv, but for that price buy new.
Look up track and trail honda. Best prices I've ever found for ATVs in the state. If nothing else, they are a good bargaining chip at your local dealer.

What size is the foreman? I don't know what type of snow fall you get but if its significant you'll need a fairly large ATV to be effective.
I live in RI and plowed my old driveway, about 110 ft with my wife's old Polaris 500, it worked great in light snow, but in heavy stuff it was a PITA.
Not to mention the amount of wear and tear on the ATV. I've since upgraded to a Renegade 800 but don't plow with it. Do yourself a favor and get a snowblower. I put a 42 inch blower on my tractor and it is worlds better than plowing with the ATV ever was. Faster, cleaner and just plain easier.

I have a 1998 Honda Foreman 450 with a 54 inch plow. It works great for plowing my concrete driveway. My ATV has both a hourmeter and odometer and I suspect the one you are interested in does as well. At 5k, I would be inclined to look at new.
