i finally finished the headers. i ended up using 1 3/4" long tubes for an 04 gto. with little modifications they bolted up and fit just right. i had to take about an inch off each runner at the flange side and weld new flanges on.. here are some pics;

I did a four day welding course at Lincoln Electric last year - great company! There are people that worked at that company for thirty years (on the manufacturing line) and retired as millionaires due to their excellent bonus program and benefits.
