I saw a post about one coming up at ORP on the 22nd. Kinda short notice but it appears to be a club event. I'm still a n00b so idk if anyone can sign up. The post said it was $185 to participate, but I can't find it now.

I just wish we could show up to PIR any time and pay X amount for a morning or afternoon. It seems like it's always open and the city owns it...secretly I just keep reading the naritadogfight and want to wake up on a cold, sunny morning and go and blast around the track for a bit

^ I'd have to agree with you. Back in my country people can show up from 8 to 6 for track day everyday as long as there's no ongoing event.

You often have to have event insurance coverage, a fire staff, a medical staff, a track manager and observer(s), and security coverage in order to protect the facility. I spent some time with a track manager in Texas and he was often frustrated about the level of resources it took to even bring limited test professional in for a day.

No, I can't compare the MCS to anything other than stock. I can tell you that other people have ridden in my car and remarked that their coilovers don't do much compared to mine. They are so smooth that all of the little vibrations the car used to make went away. My Harry's Lap timer g-force graphs went from very jittery to smooth like butter. They are expensive and amazing. I'll be at the track every chance I get, so maybe we'll meet up and I can show you.

In the meantime, the repairs are almost done, I get the car back Thursday after a dyno tune! I found an AP2 motor and added an intake and exhaust, HardDog, Recaro, Schroth 6-point harness (and a Hondata to make the AP2 motor work in my AP1 car)

Default Track Day in the Pouring Rain?

Yeah? Wanna see what that looks like? I did two days at the Ridge for the end of the season on 10-8 and 10-9. I had already blown my AP1 motor, so I took my 2006 Corolla XRS. Thankfully it rained hard enough to make rivers flow across the track and a variable-sized inland sea at Turn 9, which nullified the horsepower advantage of the other cars. We ended up doing very well. This video is from one of the last sessions on the 8th - The blue Porche GT3 leaves after I pass him, and the Boxter S was the last guy still willing to go out on the track in these conditions. The most stressful track days ever, I literally got sick each afternoon from the adrenaline. Next time I'll know better and do some running around to burn it off. And relax more.

Full Session - see the time index in the Description to jump to the timer overlay or any other noteable event during the session

I hope you like it. My and my dad sure did!
