Yeah for reference purposes, violations are chargeable industry wide in Oregon for 3 years. Generally that's 6 insurance terms (Most terms are 6 months) each renewal an MVR can be ran and your driving activity updated.
My policy renews in March and September. I picked up a speeding ticket (first one ever) in Feb 2013. This did not even get rated for until my September 2015 renewal. Since it has a 3 year rating period, it has to be removed on the first renewal after Feb 2016.
So in essence, I was only charged for 6 months of the violation, I basically got away for 24 months without being charged because... insurance companies rarely run MVR's.
