Raglan Road in downtown Disney is really good. It's an Irish pub and they have live music and Irish dacing most nights
If you want something more high end and nice, look at the artisan at the wilderness lodge. There's also another high end restaurant at the Grand Floridian but don't remember the name.
I've never been big on the show so I can't help there.
I would recommend the toy story mania ride at Hollywood Studios too. If you can, get a fast pass online before hand or show up 15-30 minutes before the gates open and go right there without stopping. By the time you get off the line will be 1hr+. I've seen it over 2hrs before.

Are you trying to stay on disney property? as much as i hate to say it, Gaylord palms is a nice resort right off property...but If staying at disney tho, I love Animal kingdom lodge with a safari view...nothing like waking up to giraffes, and the Boma buffet is off the chain. Nothing beats the Grand Floridian tho.
Downtown is ehh, Chruch street is clubs and wall street is a bunch of bars with college students.
Most of the best restaurants are off Sandlake, which is close to International which happens to be getting pretty popular.
Avoid Gypsy cabs. try to use uber if you can, pretty popular down here now.

If you want to true luxury at Disney, the 4 Seasons Resort has recently opened up.
Great restaurants at Disney:
Norman's @ Ritz Carlton (chef Norman Van Aken)
Victoria & Alberts @ Grand Floridian (Chef Scott Hunnel)
The Blue Zoo @ Dolphin Hotel (Chef Todd English)
These are all star chefs (James Beard award winning)

BBQ - 4Rivers!!! Bubbalou's isn't bad too
Sushi - Dragonfly, Amura, Bento
For an adult "nice" meal... Ravenous Pig is excellent with a unique menu. Hillstone is a more traditional steakhouse menu, but is EXCELLENT. Had their pork chop and it was the size of a kids basketball haha. Known as best outdoor dining in Orlando.
Rocco's Tacos is great and excellent view of the sunset over a lake.
Fried Chicken/Home Cooking - The Coop.
Another unique place with great BBQ sandwiches, wraps, etc is Yellow Dog Cafe.
Any place on International Drive will be family friendly. I go to Brickhouse a lot. Good food, good selection of beer, good prices. Kobe (multiple all around Orlando) has pretty good hibachi/teppenyaki. Their early bird special is a good deal (runs through 6 Mon-Thurs).
Avoid Citywalk restaurants unless you're springing for Emeril's. All over priced and not that great.
