Thumbs down Heads Up! Starting now we will not allow FS posts by non members

S2ki rules dictate that you must be a paid member to post in the FS classifieds.

Back when we had assignable badges for those folks that attended meets/events we would allow sales by badged PacNW forum participants. Because we actually had first hand knowledge of each badged person it served as a nice little bonus.

The last site revision took away our ability to assign badges the same way.

Lately the board has looked a bit like Craigslist and it is definitely taking away from the overall intent and vibe of the PacNW forum.

Thanks to Manga Spawn and S2000Junky for precipitating this move - it was overdue.

As always - please report posts that are spam or against the forum rules and we'll take care of it.

For those looking for the exact rules - here they are:

<Only current S2KI members may post items for sale, trade or swap. You may only post second-hand or used items. Items for resale or import will be promptly removed and the poster may be banned or suspended. Those using this area for fraudulent activities will be banned and reported to the police. You must provide proof of shipping (tracking number) within 7 days of completion of the sale or you may lose your posting privileges. Please refer to the full For Sale Posting Rules.>

Thanks.

jp and lig

Sweet. It would be better if those threads were deleted because as they are now they are still searchable and the poster can be PMed even though the thread is locked.

but instead of actually deleting them, you (lig) and jp should be able to "unapprove" them. That way they aren't visible to everyone except you and jp... and if a guest who previously had a FS thread decides to purchase a membership, you can simply re-approve the thread instead of them having to repost it.

In the upper right-hand corner of any page, click your username. You should see a Purchase Membership option in the dropdown menu.

Also don't forget the for sale thread template. No more lining to other sites like Craigslist or eBay. Post your full for sale thread with pictures details and info all in the thread. Pig can you please put the template in here or link to it?

I am happy to see this change. Hoping it will make peoe become more active in the community.
