Default lapping at the Ridge Motorsports park this summer

I know there is typically a group of us that heads down at least once a year for lapping days and I am interested in partaking this year as well. However I'm wondering if there is any event organization that doesn't cost a crazy $300-$350 to do it? Its a hard pill to swallow when you throw in hotel etc. NASA I'm told used to charge like $200 for track days, but they aren't around anymore I guess. Anyone know of someone else cheaper then $300? I'm thinking a good time to organize this would be around late July or August when weather is a pretty sure deal.

I just came here to make a post asking about how to get my car on the track at the Ridge this summer. Not worrying about cost what are my options and where and how do I sign up? I've never driven any car on a track before so I'm sure that might limit my options as well. I live in Olympia so the Ridge is actually my preferred choice.

Any advice is welcome!

Thanks!

Our lapping day is currently scheduled for July 8th with Turn2, but it will be $350 entry.

You can run with The Speed Syndicate for $235, but its two groups of cars followed by a group of bikes, and from what I've heard has lax standards.

Thanks for the heads up Spets. Guess all the discussion must be happening on facebook rather then our club here. Going to have to think about that one. Be nice to join/see you guys down there, but man $300 was hard enough to swallow. Raising it another $50 isn't doing us any favors. $235 seems hard to poopoo for track time at the same course if its not a total cluster F.

Any tech day BBQ coming up?

Anthony Castillo created the event pretty recently, there hasn't been a lot of discussion other than complaining about the price.

Spokane has some track days for $100, I think Glen Hammer was considering going to that one. And there's also ORP but that's a bit of a drive. I'm not sure how many days I'd attend this year as I need to get the car track ready first (plus saving up for a wedding!)

And of course I plan on a tech day or two this year, waiting for the snow to melt :P

I noticed the post on Facebook & there were a few complaining about the price.

I'm in the same situation as the fellow above--I plan on going to 1-2 track events this year, but don't really know what needs to be taken care of prior to being allowed on the track.

As for the price, $350 does seem like quite a bit, considering Spokane is $100. I don't feel like driving 5 hours, so I would probably just make my way down to PDX. I figure that has to be cheaper than The Ridge.

Hi guys, been awhile since I posted . Yeah Junky lots of stuff going on, IE Baker Run, Ridge etc. I'll make a better effort to keep people up to date. Also I'm planning on bringing Tacos back once the weather pics up.
