Wink Pretty amazing Cloud formation

Took this today in our descent into Newark, NJ coming back from Montreal. I saved it in "RAW" format and used the "Auto" feature, it did an amazing job of fixing it. Now the question I have for you guys is, with saving it in RAW it seems like you can change the picture to pretty much any way you want, for example if you wanted to take it with different settings you can basically plug it in, and it will give you what it looked like had you taken the picture with those setting? Simply amazing. I bought "PHOTOSHOP CS4 for dummies", can't wait to get into it.

If anyone can make this pic look more detailed, or more badass, please feel free to do so with Photoshop, just be sure to post it up

Sick.

RAW is storing all the data from the ADC's (analog to digital converters) on the sensor instead of processing the data into a jpeg format.

This allows Adobe RAW, Nikon RAW, whoever to use as much or as little of the information as they went to "tweak" the photo. Imagine a photo is overexposure, Adobe RAW, could ignore the end of the exposure and get a lesser exposure.

Basically you are saving a loss less version of the image so you can take full advantage of it.

the clouds were a little more dark & "wispy", but the work you did was unreal. It makes it look like I took an AMAZING pic with an AMAZING camera . I hope I can even come close to 1/2 this once I learn Photoshop
