Default 2003 S2000 body options

On an 03, can someone give me info on the small lip at the front of the rear fender? I have seen photos of a few 2003s with it but I don't know what it is called and how it may have been procured. Was it a stock option?
Thanks much. I will return with a photo when I can.

I just found a reference to fender moldings and that's what I would call what I mention above. Still hoping to learn more.

Side strakes? They're an accessory.

OK, Side strakes. Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Thanks much Julie for jumping in.

Is there an aftermarket or does one need to order from a dealer?

What do they do anyway? Other than looks.

Any danger of collecting water/grime and causing rust?

They can get beat up being so low to the ground. You'll notice that the rubber pieces on the bottom are separate. I've seen plenty of guys lose those pieces on speed bumps.

Unless you have you're heart set on them they just aren't worth the trouble.
