I personally don't see anything that bad, what part of the fitment doesn't look right? The only thing I can remotely see is the far edge of the bumper lining up with the fender? But even that doesn't look that bad, for a replica piece. Did nobody check fitment before painting it? lol

Hey, it is not painted yet. It was painted by the previous owner. Not very well, and not my shade of Suzuka.
It is very bad next to the lamps.

I installed a rep ASM front cover this spring and had to do some cosmetic adjustments with fiberglass and followed with filler to get the fitment to where I was happy. Not overly hard to do but it is dirty work, hope your "guy" works for an autobody shop.

Here is a shot after the fitment followed by the finished product.

If he adds fiberglass cloth and resin to the areas that need to be corrected and preps the cover properly before the application, all will be fine. Fiberglass will certainly bond properly to fiberglass as long as the paint and primer are removed from the area. A small amount of body filler will need to be used to perfect the surface before final finishing.

If your guy was referring to using only filler to correct the areas then I would agree with him, it could crack. Good luck.

Thanks, he is not willing to do it. I am in a bit of a tight spot. He said he 'pulled' it up a bit and its better. He does not want to play with fiberglass I guess. hmm
I should take it to another body shop. Problem is there is very few really good ones arround. Hardly any . I would really piss you off if you found out the prices in Poland compared to the US. Hence most of the good guys look for jobs otside the country.

BTW how did you fasten the emblem in place? just by 3M tape? or you drilled holes?

I just removed the pins from the emblem and used 3M tape, I did not want to drill holes in the cover in case I decide to remove the emblem at a later date.

That's unfortunate that your guy does not want to work with fiberglass but it is a dirty process. Here is another option that is pretty much like adding filler but it is a fiber reinforced filler that is meant for fiberglass. https://www.amazon.com/Marson-Mar-Gl.../dp/B000TQ6SPQ
