I use Dr Colorchip on my Rio and I think it does a pretty good job. With the pearl the match isn't perfect but it definitely looks much better than the chip and it protects the metal underneath. From 3ft away it is really hard to notice the difference.

I have a kit for each car and use them all the time.

Well put. I have LBP and the color chip is a pretty damn close match. Unless you are less than a foot away its really hard to see treated chips.

There is a video on youtube about a guy using it on his brand new porsche gt3 and he's satisfied with the results. All of the reviews i've seen have been very good. I think they key though is to let the paint dry or dry it with a hair dryer and then keep adding coats until you fill it in smooth.

I saw that, the thing I am worried about though is that the chip is like........an 8mm circle that is chipped to the metal but the reviews here and the porsche video make me think it can fill pretty well. Also like you said layering the paint....hmmm I think I will purchase some and report back here as soon as I can but it will be a couple weeks.

I ordered it yesterday for the various paint chips I got from the Summer Dragon. I'll post pics of the before and after for my 05 Berlina.

Chiming in kind of late, but I used Dr. Colorchip on my BB and the results were better than I expected. I was pretty skeptical but the match was great and it hid a LOT. Worked especially great on the front bumper that just gets pelted over time. Worth the $.
