Default Moddiction convex side mirrors

So I bit the bullet and ordered the moddiciton convex side mirrors and awaited their arrival.
i read numerous how to's on the correct install, which is removing the OEM glass and putting in the convex.
inwas a bit nervous about putting the pieces in boiling water, but it's a piece of cake, and they look so much better.

i followed the instructions word by word, and the OEM plastic pieces popped right out of the mirror housings and into the boiling water they went, for a little under a minute.
after some pushing and bending, they popped right out.
eased the new ones in, threw them back in the pot to warm up the glue, and they were complete.

i think the hardest part was snapping them back onto the cR, and having faith that they would stay there.

heres a few pics, I'll put some more up with them installed

Before and after

How do you like using them? I bought a set too, but haven't installed them yet.

I love them, they look so much better and you can look in them and see directly behind you too.
It takes a few drives to get adjusted to the depth of what you see behind you, as cars look way farther away than they are.
But IMO they are worth the install to delete all the blind spots from OEM

Hmmm, if these remove the blind spots when the top is up, I think I may need to do this mod. It's annoying having to lean forward to look out lol.

I'm loving my mirrors, it eliminates most blind spots and makes street parking a lot easier. I still lean up just to be safe, but so far they are great. I'be also paired mine with the Spoon rear view mirror to help eliminate glare from trucks/HIDs behind me, where the Moddiction mirrors also have the blue color that helps as well.

I did not want colored ones so I bought a OEM JDM one for the left side. As Japanese cars are right hand drive this mirror is convex without the lettering on the bottom. I previously bought an off brand mirror but returned it; too much optical distortion. The OEM is perfect. Ebay.

After having them for about 8 months I finally did get mine on the car and they are great. I like the tinted feature more than the convex - night or day, they are far more pleasant to look at than regular mirrors. The convex aspect isn't as extreme as I was imagining so no real adjustment time. Installation was easier than expected. Worth it!
