Next question is - what is the best procedure to follow to install new side "S 2000" emblem properly. The shop manual gives exact measurments for the location - but is there a trick to doing this so you get it exactly in correct location without messing up? Maybe painters tape along edge of mounting location or something to give a reference line while placing the new emblem? Anyone done this before?

I used automotive masking tape as a reference when I replaced mine. I just ran the tape along the bottom edge of where each emblem was to be placed and one at the start of the S and one at the end of the 2000. Double and triple check your measurements before adhering the numbers and letter. Not too difficult just a little tedious.
