I just talked to the mechanic. He reports that the alignment was definitely out of spec in both the front and the rear. Not sure specifically what the numbers are. But - I'm glad I did the alignment and we shall see if it improves the tread wear. I'll be curious to see if it improves the way the car goes down the road and handles. Truth is I thought it was just fine anyway in that regard.

rpg51, thanks for the hijack.

As for my issue, it went back into the shop to get check over and they believe it is the knuckle which I kinda of assume from reading the other various threads, does anyone have the part numbers I need for the knuckle, driver side rear for an ap2? I believe the knuckle is 52215-S2A-010 but not sure, is there anything else I would need? They mentioned possibly the bear as well, not sure which part number that would be, thanks.

Knuckles are the first thing to bend, it seems. I've bent mine on track curbing pretty badly.

If you buy a new knuckle, a new wheel bearing is definitely required to do it properly. A new hub is also a good idea. Without buying a hub, theres a chance you're taking a hub that's slightly damaged that gets pressed back into a good bearing and ruins it.

52215-S2A-010 is the right part number. Best OEM price seen is from Majestic Honda is either $228.56 (front) and $190.57 (rear).

Thanks, I think I will add the hub as well for the peace of mind.

Thanks, their prices do seem to be the best. Are the front and rear bearings are the same, 44300-S84-A02? And for the hub 42210-S2A-000?

Check google and YouTube for proper pressing procedure, BTW. Just make sure the people pressing it in know how to properly do it. A surprising amount of people screw this up.

I assume they did it right, parts came in last week and just had my mechanic install it today, he was glad that I purchased the hub as well so thanks for that! Initial alignment reading was -1.7 degrees after the install from the previous max of .6 so the knuckle definitely helped, though when I asked if he could tell if the old knuckle was bent or not, he couldn't tell by just eye sight.
