Well...I don't really want to change more than 1 thing at once.

If the extra travel doesn't tame the ride satisfactorily/reasonably, then I may try switching springs.

I have no clue what switching the springs will do for the car in terms of handling. I know that the stock rear springs are stiffer than the front. But the car has non staggered tyres now...as well as other modifications from stock. I also would like to dial in some understeer.

1 thing at a time though lol.

Also won't be driving the car til spring.

Maybe 8kg on the front will understeer/oversteer then you will have to start ARB swaps to compensate.
keeping rates even/equal ratio to OEM is less of a headache,
Andrewhake"s thread here is an interesting read.

I won't be messing with spring rates yet.

But as info...if one did want to prevent hitting bumpstops AND wanted more rebound travel, then springs are likely an easy way to go.

Something like a 14KG spring with a helper spring would give you that situation. But that would require a revalve, I'm sure.

A 10KG rear spring is probably a good "cheap/effective" solution.

But I won't be changing rates til tracking the car again with extra travel.

I can't say I noticed any significant under / oversteer imbalance with the 10k springs on the rear and the standard front arrangement (I can't remember what the OEM front ones are, but I think they are around 5/6k - the exact rates are on my computer at work), and I was able to test this arrangement in the dry. The set up gave me huge confidence and quite frankly I was driving it like a bit of a dick, deliberately launching it sideways everywhere I could .

I've now dropped the fronts down to -14 as per your suggestion, but haven't driven it yet .

I will see how I got on, as I have a trackday at Bedford Autodrome on 25th Feb

mine is a 04 a Neutral balance setup,same I think as MikeRT4"s or maybe an 05?
find my 8kg rear 10front with 13mm preload on the rear 13 from full stiff very nice,Ohlins 20/25mm lower than OEM
I do not track the car, maybe this year I will do a track day, play with damping adjustments F&R 8..7..6..ect tooo hard for public roads here in UK!!
When roads are better Mike and not icy! your just up the road from me we need to compare set ups

Noodels,
2000-2001 cars run 219lb (3.91k) fronts and 291lb (5.2k) rears with front ARB of 393 and rear 427
2003-2003 cars run 246lb (4.39k) fronts and 309lb (5.52k) rears with front ARB of 300 and rear of 396
2004-2005 cars run 262lb (4.68k) fronts and 278lb (4.96k) rears with front ARB of 300 and rear of 311
2006-2007 cars run 262lb (4.68k) fronts and 269lb (4.8k) rears with front ARB of 300 and rear of 311
2008-2009 cars run 280lb (5k) fronts and 294lb (5.25k) rears with front ARB of 354 and rear of 311
2008-2009 CRs run 384lb (6.86k) and 343lb (6.13k) rears with front ARB of 392 and rear of 362

I think you will need a sundial for the S2k - sadly the CSL is 104dB and they just laughed at me last time I tried to take it to Bedford .

So I ended up sourcing some lower mounts. Unfortunately, they were the wrong colour.

I picked out a spray paint on the internet that I thought would work. Apparently, my ironic glasses work pretty ok. I think it looks cot dang close.

I also sent my buddy a file to CNC cut me a rig that would hold the shock still whilst I preloaded it. I don't have to struggle to hold the shock. Welded it up and painted it with some wrinkle black to cover my terrible weldmanship.

They should hold S2000, Civic, Integra, 7G Accord, TSX, and TL shocks. Don't forget where you saw this contraption first lol.

Next time I work on the car, I will measure the shock/top hat angle. Then will add extra holes to the ^ holder seen above so that one can set the shock and bolt into the car without having to manually match the angle that the shock needs to be set.

Eyyy.
