Rear Wheel Spin on Right Turns?

Rear Wheel Spin on Right Turns?
I bought an '06 S2000 about a month ago. The car is great. A perfect replacement for my totaled '04 RX8 I've noticed that when accelerating from a stop while making a right turn, I hear the right rear tire squeal? This doesn't happen when making left turns. Is it normal for the right rear to break loose this easily? The car came with new Continental ExtremeContact tires on the stock 17" wheels.

My '06 doesn't do this that I can recall. I've been running Bridgestone RE-11A tires and now Bridgestone S-04 tires since the 11A tires are no longer produced. These are both stickier tires than the Continentals on your car.

Tires spin easy on this car when turning from a stop and making a more or less abrupt move. You will get a slight shimmy/shake of the tire or more abrupt spin depending on your throttle application and how much the rear torsion is locking up. never really noticed it more on one side over the other. Doubt there is an issue in your case since its a new car to you, but who knows.

As already mentioned, a right hand turn the right side is more lightly loaded. If is just a chirp it could be a normal acceleration noise. If you watch some of the autocross videos YouTube, you will see the cars accelerating from a dead stop, occasionally into an immediate turn. You will be able to hear what the tires sound like in your situation.
None of these cars are new...the most recent is already 8 model years old. I bought my current car 13 years ago this month.
A problem could be unequal wheel weights. This could be a weak spring or a twist in the chassis. The Torsen rear will spin an unloaded tire. It could also be worn bushings. How many miles are on the car?

Thanks for all of the replies. To answer a couple of questions, I have checked & set the tire pressure. Reading this board, I saw that the S is sensitive to having correctl pressure in all of the tires. My S has ~49k miles. I guess that tire spin on right hand turns is more noticeable because those tend to be tighter turns in every day driving?
