Upper control arm torque spec question
Hello everybody,
I would just like to verify the correct torque specs for the front upper control arm to chassis bolts (two on each side) to be 75.9 ft lbs. I was looking around and came across some contradicting numbers here but this seemed like the most common answer for those particular bolts. If anybody can verify this for me, I'd really appreciate it. I am going to purchase a torque wrench on Friday.
I just installed my coilovers and I went to town tightening those bolts with no torque wrench. I didn't use a long bar and overdo it, just a big 1/2" drive ratchet and all my strength until the bolt essentially stopped tightening and now I'm concerned that I may have tightened them down too much (I have a horrible habit of overthinking, worrying, and being way too anxious whenever I think I MIGHT have screwed up... lol hopefully some of you feel my pain. This condition was amplified with my 1st ap1, and now I have a relatively mint ap2 that I'm overly paranoid about haha).
I preloaded the suspension properly beforehand, but should I be concerned and go back under there, buy a torque wrench, and re-torque them? Considering the upper control arms bolt to the car itself, I'm scared of having problems with those bolts or the holes they screw into.
Thanks,
