So I still hang with the S2K group in Orlando even though I am in the M3.
I just updated my HPDE build and photos.
Here is a pic from Daytona in April

It is alot heavier, although I have shaved 300 lbs out of it. The turnin was very sloppy compared to the CR but I was able to clean it up with solid front control arm bushings and a square set up. It is alot of fun on the higher horsepower tracks with long straightaways as torque is needed out of the corners. I can now keep up with the majority of the porsches.
When it comes to running smaller fast sweeping momentum tracks, the CR is way better.
The overall platform of the E46 chassis is way more stable and predictable than the s2k. So I am no longer wondering when the ass end is going to step out on me. Overall I am really enjoying the car and with the red-line set at 8200 on the M3 it is close but not exactly like revving out the CR. I have driven alot of cars and the S2K and S2K CR are definitely special cars and I will probably try to add one again as a weekend fun car.

, it was all about finding an unmolested low mileage M3. That way I knew what I was starting with. The E46 M3 world is very similar to the S2k one with several molested versions found everywhere. Proper maintenance for any high revving vehicle is key to a long and healthy life. I really wanted Alpine white or laguna seca blue but almost impossible to find.
