Default Audio/CB Newb: Stereo/CB bypass, Tell me what to buy

I hate earpieces and those little microphones. I need to have a portable CB that I can swap from one car to the other, but operates in a specific way.

The CB must be able to output to an AUX line, which feeds to my stereo. I would like to have a handheld mic with button on a coiled cord, so I or my wife can access it easy. I will need a bypass module that flips my MP3 player connected to my AUX off to allow the CB audio to come through. Example: http://www.audiointerrupt.com/Content/AIAUXRCA.htmll
http://www.audiointerrupt.com/Content/pricing.html

Can anyone tell me anything that I can buy? Of course cheap is good. Thank you for any suggestions.

Would the Cobra 75WXST make sense? I could order the AUX bypass and hook it to the ext port on the base?

This Uniden comes more highly rated and also has an ext speaker plug. I think I could mount it in my secret comparment and run power, ant, and AUX to stereo.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the Uniden and the audio bypass chip, I would love some feedback to help know what I'm getting myself into.

A Speakercraft LL-One Linky Dinky would pretty much do the same thing with a little more control of the functionality but it is a fair amount larger, too. I like the size of that Audio Interrupt unit and I've been wanting to do this with my FRS radio in the S2K.

Wow, that one looks much better! I found it on ebay shipped for $10 cheaper than that site, and I snapped up the last one.

You do understand that the FRS radios and a CB radio do not operate on the same frequencies?

Here's the system I told you about at Quaker Steak.
https://autocomdirect.com/

And the competitor that I couldn't think of. Looks like they have a car system.

Yes. The Baeofeng I ordered works on just about everything once your program it properly.

Thanks Tom. I had already ordered the one Mark recommended though.

So far seems to be working good! Just a few more wires to tuck away and it will feel OEM. I plan on trying to make a custom harness for the handset to split the mic and speaker. This will eliminate the extra cable going from the handset back to the audio splitter as well as allow me to cross the mono to both sides of stereo.

Put some magnets in the base to help hold it in.

Pretty much done and the final look. I love how it looks and I think it looks OEM. Anyone want to flick my beanstalk?

It first perfectly across the secret compartment, I think I'm just going to leave it like that to make it easy to lift out. I still hope to eliminate the thick double cable coming out of the bottom right, the parts are still on order.
