Dash Camera Hard Wired DIY
#11
Very nice install!
I just picked up the Thinkware F770 dash cam and will add a rear camera next month.
I liked your idea with mounting the rear camera on the windscreen. To get it higher you could order the larger windscreen from Rick's shop.
Rick's Wind Reduction
I'm thinking of adding Modifry's windscreen camera mount and extending the height somehow. This would be cool too as I could rotate the rear camera for some in cabin views when I'm at the Dragon/Autocross/Track.
Windscreen Camera Mount
I'm leaning towards the latter option, I will keep you guys posted. Might be a month down the road until I get all this done. Stay tuned

Hey Short thanks for info on higher windscreen I might look into that, it would be perfect being about two inches higher! The rear dash cam I got can rotate in it's sleeve, so I can grab a cabin shot if need be without additional mount.
Also worth note, when the top is down the view is fine as-is, so here's to summer time Look forward to seeing install!

I might just leave it as high as possible on the stock windscreen...for now. I live in NC so no front license plates and I have the top down about 70% of the year..haha
I will still post pictures and let you know if I come up with other solutions for the rear
