Default APEXİ AFC NEO HELP

Greetings from Istanbul Turkey,
I follow s2ki since 2009, I learned lots of things about s2k. Now I need your help about the settings of my apexi neo.
My car is MY09 F20C drive by wire s2000 (JDM Spec)(14000 km/ 8000 miles on it)

My mods are:
Mugen thermostat & fan switch
Mugen headers
T1R sparrow 70 dual
63mm test pipe
AEM V2 CAI
AEM Wideband

Recently I bought a brand new APEXI NEO
I am sure that the initial settings are all correct (sensor type etc.)
Using Wideband, I street tune the AFR
Low throttle correction are all set to 0 and by monitoring wideband I set the correction coefficients for high throttle. (Low to High trottle is %75 and %79)
I don't want to change vtec engagement point so I turn off the menu that is used to set vtec point (NOT the menu that is in initial settings)
I am able to keep the AFR between 13.1 and 13.5 but my problem is that when the vtec kicks at 6000 rpm the AFR jumps to 15.4 than it decreases to 13.5 at 6500 rpm.
Between 6000 and 6500 rpm I could not manage to lower the AFR. Even I tried to set +6 at 6000 rpm it did not work.
Is this AFR jump normal or harmful for my engine
Thanks

Its not ideal, but for such a short period of time (0.5 seconds or so) i cant really see any damage that will be caused buy such a short transition, of course the stock ecu map does run lean in the 14's AFR so its raised it due to your mods. I know in turkey it can be hot so it wouldn't stay in this vtec engagement range, be careful and get it on a dyno you dont want det due to the high temps in turkey during summer. A vafc2 when leaning out advances the ignition timing - not good.

Unfortunately the neo does not work at all for adding fuel (en-richening) you can only get away with +1 adjustment .

Cheers

I made the tuning at a temperature of +7 C. At summer time it will be like 22 to 28 C outside. When the ambient temp rises the AFR will decrease, it is correct?

And the cause that Neo could not add any fuel is the capacity of the injectors or something else?

Thnx

Yes generally when its hotter, you will get a richer AFR reading.

No nothing to do with your injectors or anything else remember the neo tunes via altering voltage the Map sensor sees (this is not the best way to tune but it works to a certain extent), its just the limitation of the Neo I'm afraid. I only managed to get away with a +1 which seemed to make a .2 difference to the AFR.

I dont use a VAFC2/neo anymore.

Mine does the same thing as the OP states. I guess there isnt anything you can do about it. I have similar mods to you and on the dyno i saw gains lowering the vtec point to 4700rpm with a vt unmatch setting of +1 and +1. Give that a try if you want some mid range gains.

you need to have it dyno'd and tuned by a professional or you may end you damaging something, everyone's settings are different and may or may not work for you...get the most power from your mods and take your car and have it tuned professionally

When I set + values for 6000 and 6500 I reduced AFR 0,3 as you mentioned so I believe there is nothing to do. At least it is good to hear that thats not a very big issue
