Default Haltech Wideband Install Question

How have people run the wires from the Wideband up to the Can Box? I de-pinned the connector to the wideband to bring it from inside the car to out but think it will still be too large to fit through the wire bundle behind the battery with the loom. Is there another spot that works? Should I make my own hole in the rubber grommet on that side?

Also, does the Power and ground wire on the second loom need to be hooked up when using the can cable to the Haltech? The directions seem to have confused me on that.

THIS.

The directions and video make no mention of the additional wiring, but the wiring diagram in the back of the directions show it wired.

...But there's power and ground on the 8-pin Haltech CAN loom...

I'll go post it on the Haltech forum and report back if I have any luck there. I already have it as a draft from when I was thinking about asking.

I'm interested in the answer too.

Yeah, I'm leaning toward it being needed. I tweeked something in my back putting my engine in the car last week so haven't had a chance to mess with it.

Straight from Haltech:

"Yep, needs to be wired to power and ground. Doesn't have to be switched, should go straight to battery power."

Just installed this yesterday. Did power right off the battery to the provided fuse, bolted it to the small control box by the battery. The wide band wire tucked nicely under the heat shield and along the firewall/trans.
