Default High enough for oil return?

So, I've been going back and forth trying to decide how I wanted to do the oil return and I just decided to go with the pan seeing how many people do that without problems. But, Ive only seen a couple of pictures. With that being said, I came across a pan for sale that already has a fitting welded on and I would like to know from you guys that have return setup to the pan if its high enough? Please help me out so I can decide whether to buy or not.

Thanks, I have looked into both. I just figured it would be easier and a lot less work to do the pan if it works well for others. I may end up paying someone to do the cover depending on the cost. Just thought I would ask about that pan since I came across it though.

Just hit up the Bawss, he sells the covers with a fitting welded in and the quality is amazing!

+100

I did the valve cover swap. Really easy, except for the crank bolt which can be, well, cranky. Since I had it off before with the kpro swap, it wasn't too bad. Need the tool for the balancer ($25) to hold it still.

And remember, the belt tension pulley is REVERSE threaded- don’t be a bonehead like me and snap it off!
Steps are:
  • Oil pan
  • Belt
  • Pulley
  • Balancer
  • Cover bolts
Not bad at all. 2Hrs including cleaning oil pan gasket material.

And Bawss is *super* guy to deal with!
