Default Compound Turbo S2000

Some of you may have seen my last thread, but unfortunately I couldn't use that profile anymore so I decided to remake the thread.

After building a turbo setup with a sleeved 2.0L block and built head, along with an inline pro stage 2 setup with a s366 turbo, I was unhappy with the lack of response from the turbo. I know with such a large turbo I should have expected it but it just wasn't as fun as I hoped on the street. I decided to build something different and push the limits of the high flowing F20c. This is my first time fabricating, but I'm pretty happy with the results, even though looking back I feel like I could do a much better job now. I built a T4 twinscroll manifold and then the crossover piping, finished off with a 4" downpipe back to 3.5" full exhaust.

The F20c is mated to an EFR6258 and a T6 frame S475. I should be able to build boost incredibly fast while still having the luxuries of the high flowing large turbo. It is definately taking a lot of engineering and work and trial and error, but I am pretty confident in the results I will see. It should produce a torque curve on the low end never seen on the F20c while still being able to make high hp. The car should be insanely fun on the street cruising or at the track. Because the incoming air is compressed, and then the compressed air is compressed, I am able to build very high boost levels. I will be using 93 octane and secondary methanol.

The car is very close to the dyno. There are a few leaks being fixed and small things. We have already street tuned it and it runs great! Hope to have it on the dyno very soon and I will post the results. I'm sure I will continue to tweak the boost control and how I manage controlling the boost between both turbos to optimize the design, but for now it will be good to get a baseline of the setup.

So we have our initial testing and tuning done. After finishing out some tweaks and bugs over the last few weeks, we have some results.

This is only at 22psi on a mustang dyno. There is a lot left. Right now we are only controlling one wastegate with a solenoid. We have some boost control ideas and options for this winter to test and come back to the dyno in the spring with more pressure and lots more power!!!

That is about the same torque levels I made but over 1000rpms sooner lol. Some pretty high pressure levels for that power but I suppose that should be expected.
