Hey guys... Just an update. The installation of one resonator did help a lot. Drone is not gone at 4k-5k, but 50% gone at 3-4k range and mostly gone 2-3k. Thanks!

I do have another issue - was going to start a new thread but it makes sense to just continue it here. Needed to add oil to my AP1 so I did so this past weekend. I also had a turbo blanket I want install so I jack the car up and got underneath the engine to try to achieve this. Unfortunately the fit was too tight and I kept thinking the car will fall on top of me so I will just pay my mechanic install the turbo blanket. However when I was down there I noticed small drop of oil hanging off one of the pipes from the turbo. After inspecting further, similar traces of oil drops we're visible from pipes of above it and then will above them. I took a couple pictures but they mostly suck. Any ideas what this might be? After driving the car 500 miles it didn't seem to consume too much oil according to the dipstick. I can't imagine the car is leaking much because there's also no stains in the parking spot. Any advice on this will be much appreciated. I'm pretty sure that when I was fillling the engine oil, I did not drop any oil from up top. Also it wouldn't have been this far forward in the engine bay anyway.

I just confirmed with ether prev owner, he used Castrol Edge Titanium Synthetic.

I have been doing some research on the setup and it seems the full race kit uses a oil filter relocation kit and those pipes associated with the drips found might belong to that part. They may have come loose? I will have my mechanic check it out soon.

Okay - another update. In mid gear, the car looses ALL power. Like as if I took my foot off the gas, even though I am at WOT.

The car use to do this SOMETIMES, but now it is happening more and more often at WOT. Maybe I have a failing fuel pump? I will show my local mechanic this week (but he does not specialize in turbos/s2k's). I am also considering making an appointment with Evans Tuning for a proper checkup...

hey buddie, now that you have taken new ownership of this modified car, have Evans or someone have a look through for the entire car (i.e. turbo manifold, down pipe, waste-gate, etc. to make sure everything is in good working order). Also have the car re-tuned on a dyno, you never know what gremlins you might find trusting someone else's build. Your life is at stake (its more of a safety concern because s2000s can be a handful when they are making a decent amount of power).

just my two cents.

Okay - 100% agreed. Will have the car retuned asap. This is my second car and work is busy, but should have an update for you guys in a month.

BEFORE I retune though - I am seriously considering downgrading my exhaust to a 60mm setup - the Tanabe Medallion Touring (in addition to my Vibrant Resonator). I am sure the mufflers on the Tanabe are not strait though like my current fart cans. I know this will result in issues with my tune - hence why I want to handle this before retuning.

Will downgrading from a 3" piping 60mm (50 mm after split) cause me huge power loss? Will I even be able to drive the car for 100-200 miles between the exhaust swap and the tuning shop in a safe manor using the old tune?

The prev owner said the car dyno's at 456hp @ 15lb (93 octane).

If there is something wrong like that, don't force it. Take the advice by getting everything checked. That loss in power could be detonation or bad WG control. A failing fuel pump would lean out and probably actually "run" ok for a bit depending, or start missing which also wouldn't quite be what your describing.

Agreed on the re-tune - please see my comment on the exhaust.
