S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Just dynoed my new ptuning gtx3076r setup. Down sized from a gtx35r

Awesome.....Thanks for posting. I have a PTuning kit also and just recently found out that my turbo (GTX 3076R) is toast. I am planning on doing a Flexfuel build somewhere in the near future.

I wanted to hit 600 RWHP (more of a number goal to me) on E85. After reading this post maybe that is too much power but I am starting to get bored with the power level that I am currently at. Mostly my car will be on the street with 2-3 track days a year.

So I am trying to make a decision now...... GTX 3076R or GTX 3576R?

Do you feel that the GTX 3576R that you had on the trackforged manifold would have spooled faster if it was on the PTuning manifold?

Did you also run the ID 1300 injectors with your trackforged build? If yes, was it a big enough injector for your power level on E85?

Thanks
If you want 600whp+ go with the gtx3576r. i actually have mine old gtx3576r for sale. I do feel like the gtx3576r would have spool a lot faster if it was on the ptuning manifold.

I just bought the id 1300cc injectors for this setup. For my old track forged 620whp setup i first ran id2000cc injectors and then went with the new fix 1650cc injectors. The reasons i went with the id1300 is because the idle and drivability. I wanted the car to drive like stock and i have owned and used every single size injector. id1300 cc injectors are the biggest you can go to maintain stock like idle and stock drivability. The id2000cc injectors are really a e85 only injector and really do drive and idle like crap on 91 octane. the fic1650/id1700 do run much much better than the 2000cc injectors but then still do not have 100% stock idle and drivability on 91 octane
So if I was shooting for 600whp(no more)on E85 what do you recommend that I run. ID 1300?, ID 1700?, or FIC 1650?

Also I am running stock block and head(w/stock head gasket) what do you think I can safely run (max rwhp) on 93 octane (without destroying the engine)?

thanks

I have the details.
What are they changing? If I were to guess i would say the motor mount system.

I spoke to ptuning and they did tell me that they are in the process of redesigning the kit a little. It would be great if they could change the motor mount setup to something that vibrates less.
Nice build man. You planning on running this thing on track in the future? Also, any details on what they're changing with the kit?
I do plan to take the car to a track day to see how it will hold up. I need to get some pads at the very least as I'm on a 100% stock brakes.

These stock engines are very strong and can take well over 600whp with out any issues. On straight pump gas 91/93 octane being some where from 400whp-470whp is pretty normal depending on your turbo setup. With a goal of 600whp on e85 I would just go with the id1300cc injectors and pump your base fuel pressure to about 60psi. I always recommend agenst id1700 and espically 2000cc injectors unless your going for well over 600whp on e85 because these injectors will sacrifice idle and low throttle drivability on 91/93 octane pump gas.

Thanks Riceball. I just ordered a new GTX3076R w/new Tial exhaust housing from PTuning today. They are going to have the turbo and housings all clocked and grinded with the locking tabs installed. I figured I'd stay with the GTX30 because with the GTX35 I won't be able to make that much more on pump gas, which I will be running most of the time anyways.

I was under my car today and i thought i would take a picture to show how i routed my water line. The ptuning kit has some of the worst water line routing i have seen. They use a -6 fitting which is bolted to the center section of the turbo than a barbed rubber line connect to the center section. Because the turbo gets so hot this water line routing will kill the water line in a few thousand miles. Even if you used a stainless AN line it would not last more than a year.

I used oem lancer evolution 8 hard lines that connect into the gtx30r center section with banjo bolts and i bent the hard lines so they fact the cold side of the turbo to take it away from the heat. Then connected rubber lines to the hard lines. This is how most oem turbos rout their water lines so they last for many years.

Very nice. I agree if you look at any OEMs they have hard lines that come off the center section that connect to rubber lines farther away so heat doesn't destroy them quickly. I think this is something everyone ought to do with their turbo kits for reliability reasons, but then again most people just run oil cooled turbos and only live a 1/4 mile at a time.

Awesome mod, thanks for sharing.......where did you pick up the Evo 8 cooling lines from?

I have changed my cooling lines to AN stainless steel braided (my rubber lines leaked twice), I hope that my SS lines doesn't fail. I may do this Evo 8 cooling line mod prior to the installation of the new turbo. Did you just heat up the Evo 8 lines with a torch and bend them?

The rubber vacuum lines going to the external wastegate turned into plastic and broke off recently after just shifting them (looking for a vacuum/boost leak). Swapped those out to teflon stainless steel braided lines.

I had dropped the turbo about 5-6 times since I had this kit. I can now do the swap with my eyes closed lol.

Overall, I am still happy with the kit I went into FI knowing that there will always be some tinkering going on!

Where do you have those rubber cooling running lines going to?
