Default AP2 steering wheel on AP1?

Can it be done? I read something about Cruise Control before but couldn't find it again.

There may be some issue with the wheel itself - though if that's an issue, you can have it re-wrapped by one of our vendors.

The AP2 airbags are 2 stage, which cannot be put into an AP1 nomatter what.

This is incorrect information

There are 2 different s2000 steering wheels. 00-03 and 04-09. They are all interchangeable. There are 2 different cruise control buttons. 00-03 and 04-09. They are all interchangeable. 04+ have an extra cancel button for the cruise control. There are 3 different s2000 air bags. 00-03 and 04-05 and 06-09. The 00-03 and 04-05 air bags are both single stage air bags and are interchangeable. The 06+ are duel stage air bags. For an ap1 s2000 you must run a single stage air bag and therefore you can only run an 00-03 or a 04-05 air bag and cannot run an 06-09 air bag.

Personally i have an ap1 with a 04-09 steering wheel with a 04-09 cruise control buttons and an 04-05 air bag.

here is my car

You can swap the air bag covers. I have the 06+ air bag cover on my 05 air bag. Also the cruise buttons can be swapped between wheels

I remember reading this. Are the airbag covers held on by some special screws? Is it easy to remove?

Sorry I was working on something else and wasn't paying attention when myflys2k (aka "billman of the north") had already swapped the covers for me
