Countersunk OEM Titanium Knob

Countersunk OEM Titanium Knob
Hey guys,
So I just wanted to share a few pics. (Don't mind the dirty interior)
My cousin works as a machinist and had his friend countersink the OEM Titanium knob for me.
It sits about an inch lower, shifting feels amazing, and it looks great!
Also helps with being able to see the radio LCD better.
Will probably paint the shift pattern red soon but pretty happy for now.
I also used some blue loctite to hold the knob in place since it no longer uses the fastening nut.
BTW, I made the mistake of using loctite superglue (just a drop) because I did not have loctite initally. HUGE MISTAKE.
The knob was stuck on there with the shift pattern misaligned and I couldn't get it off.
Ended up ordering this amazing tool that gave me the leverage I needed to remove it without causing damage.
Cleaned up the threads with alcohol/acetone to remove the glue and I was good to go. Lesson learned.

Nice! I countersunk my stock knob too (leather one)!

Being that the knob came with the car and the services were free for me, it would probably be more cost effective to buy one from Moddiction below:

Yeah, that red loctite is NO JOKE! Loctite recommends heating to 500 degrees F, to remove parts that have been locked with that stuff.

Did you notice much any difference in shift effort, good or bad? I imagine Honda engineered the shift knob to sit at a particular height with a particular weight for a reason.
