Default How to take care of a red leather interior?

Just got my dream car: a 2003 S2000 with a red interior! I've wanted this car for about 12 years, so it is just amazing to have one.

Just about 30 minutes ago, I was in my car looking at the floor mats, and realized that I was kneeing the driver's seat. The seat is fine, but this is my first car with a leather interior and I realized that this probably isn't something you'd want to do with leather seats! Are there any other things I should probably not do with leather seats?

What about leather conditioner? Should I be using this stuff on the regular? I have red seats, so should I use a specific kind of conditioner? Will it made the seats fade (or perhaps prevent fading)? The red surface of the left side of the seat (when sitting in it) looks like it's flaking off just a tiny bit. Is this normal with age? Can I use a product to prevent more damage?

Also, what about fading or drying out in the sun? Is this a thing with red interiors? Can I use a product to prevent this if this is the case? Is a car cover comparable to keeping in a garage? How about being out in the rain with a car cover on?

Keep the seats clean and protected, I prefer to use a leather conditioner and cleaner that has UV protection. Not all leather conditioners have UV protection, I'm using Pinacle's leather cleaner and conditioner, but there are lots of good products available.

I recommend using 303 Aerospace on all of the interior vinyl, it is the best and offers superior UV protection, some people also use it on the seats.

Never stand or knee leather seats, it will stretch the leather and make the seats look like a droopy diaper. You can sometimes repair them using a hairdryer.
