Loose Factory Rear View Mirror
Just thought I'd post some helpful info that I troubleshooted this weekend. Ever since I owned my S2000, the rear view mirror has never been quite tight or solid. This became a big problem when I installed my radar mirror mount. I read a few vague threads about similar issues, but none that really helped me. I ended up ordering all new internal parts for the base of the mirror (washer, screw, spring, and metal o-ring type disc).
Part #'s are:
76409-SL0-003
76410-SL4-003
76419-SL4-003
76420-SL4-003
Came out to like $19 @ my local dealership and was next day shipped to them for me to pick up. Super simple install, now the mirror is super tight with no vibrations etc.
So anyone that has a loose mirror, replace the hardware with the above and you'll be good to go!

You got it man, it really is such a cheap/easy fix. Just remember when your re-installing the parts on the back side (facing towards the window) the screw is reverse threaded. So you gotta turn it left to tighten it down, but that is it!

Made a video of how to disassemble and re assemble the mirror for those that want a visual aid.

Hey folks, I ordered the parts and have tried to remove the screw using a #1 Philips. It is the correct size for screw but after a half hour, I cannot get it to budge. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I did not try WD40 yet. Trying not to make a mess.

Sometimes if you put a piece of a rubber band in the threads of the screw it can help you get traction with the screwdriver.
