Default OEM AP2 Wheels

I am deciding if I should buy an extra set of OEM for R compounds or aftermarket??? So I would like to know if anyone has ever weighed the fronts and rear with out tires, and what they weighed???

Thanks-G

i've seen that the r compound can rip the upper a arm from the frame. try the motegi track lit wheels they are too high priced for forged wheels

What in the world are you talking about? I find it hard to believe that Honda would engineer such a track oriented car, all to have its a-arms torn off by nothing less than tires.

According to www.wheelweights.net:

Front wheel weighs 17.6 pounds.

they weigh a LOT for 17s. I remember when was installing my 18" TE37s, the oem wheels weighed significantly more. i mean it was a LOT heavier than the 18s.

if the website is correct for the weight of the ap2 rims, and i think they are, they're fairly light. 17 lbs for front? how much lighter do you want for a cast wheel? only rpf1's and rg's, as well as other advan rims, are lighter. and 18" te37's should be around 17lbs as well.
