Default Tein S-Tech Springs

Tein S-Tech springs, many people said that once they lower the car on Tein S-Tech, they've noticed that the car sits unbalanced. Some said that one side of
front is slightly higher than the other and some said that one side of rear is higher
and so on. I installed my Tein S-Tech during last Saturday and today I've noticed
the difference in height as well. My left rear is slightly higher than my right rear, approximately 7mm. In addition, my right front sits 3mm lower than the left front.
I took the car back to my friends shop for dignosis and we detected nothing.
I called the TEIN USA services DEPT today in order to get more assistance.
Apparently, TEIN USA themselves didn't know the right answer to this issue we are
having with S-Tech springs. TEIN USA recommended me to have the struts removed once more and check springs to see if they are sitting correctly inside of
the strut. FYI, Tein S-Tech springs are marked F for the front and R for the rear.
Though I must admit that the ride quality is awesome! Nice drop (1 inch) and the ride is slightly stiffer than stock. If you don't mind the height differences after
installation, and you are looking for a small drop with streetability, Tein S-Tech
is a good choice. I'd thought I share this with you all.

p.s.

Make sure you get your wheels aligned!!!

These were used and owned by two users on the forum. Kreestofur and
LordBryon. I mean, don't get me wrong, these are great springs for the money.
Sitting position after an installation, if you are a type of a person that is real anal
about how your ride is sitting, then may be not but if you could allow yourself, I
say go for Tein S-Tech. The ride quality is good, clearing corners are sweet along
with ease of a ride even with your stock shocks. Drop is about an inch which is
not too crazy IMO. Hope this helps.

I was thinking about getting these but wanted a spring rate ratio that more mimicked that of the newer stock Honda spring rates (higher spring rates up front).

My understanding is that Honda bumped up the spring rates in the front and dropped the rates in the back to dial out bumpsteer. Since the Tein S-Tech springs have a higher spring rate in the rear, has anyone notice bumpsteer with them?

I've noticed the bumpsteer. Not too crazy though.

I am going to take the car into the shop again during this wknd to

have my front left looked at it again. I've noticed a dramatic height

difference in front just recently and I could safely say at least 7mm

in height difference between right front and left front. I am assuming

that pre-load was skipped before tightening bolts up.

I'm posting this because I've seen many ppl on the board with similar

symtoms when Tein S-Tech springs were installed.

Maybe the car is supposed to be higher on the left side? The driver's weight should even it out.

I mean, Tein is a good spring but this issue is kinda

annoying. just have to fight not to think about this

too much until a nice set of coil overs arrive~

Okay,

ANother update. During last wknd, took the car back to the shop

to have another look at the suspension again.

We removed all four struts and found that springs were sitting

incorrectly, thus causing uneven drop. TopHat rubber needs to be

adjusted to accomdate the Tein's different coil to fit into the stock

groove. Basically when installing, it needs greater amount of paying

attention to smallest details. My car now sit perfectly even and no

bumpsteer whatsoever!
