I will say the 7 point (or any of the ones with the bars that go to the front of the car) are dangerous. The forward bars bolt the to the main hoop directly over the driver and passengers head. In an accident especially a rollover your head could be meeting the end of that bolt which would be a bad day. I have seen plenty of pictures of these so called "death traps" surviving serious accidents and doing their job as a safety item. In fact I have yet to find or see an example of one failing (and I have looked) just the internet hearsay. A true cage/rollbar like the hard dog ones is safer however.

If your running a full cage on the street you are asking for a real headache for the reasons Manga mentioned, not only that but just getting in and out is a real pain in the ass ....and head Helmet is a must with a full cage. Why I don't have one in my street S2000 that I track.

I believe the Safety 21 (Black) roll bars are stronger because they are steel, while the Cusco (Blue) cages are a weaker chromoly.

Chromoly is stronger and lighter than steel bud. And it has other benefits like the better yield strength.
