Install of IZZE-Racing Air Pump simulator
Installing this later today... want to double-check about taping into the ECU wires. What kind of tap should I use? Is a splice connector the right way to do this?
Thx!

I cut the wire in half so that you can put shrink wrap over the modification.
the wires are small, so the work is a bit tedious.

The standard for automotive wiring is crimping. Soldering is okay for low vibration environments with good strain relief.
Squeeze / vampire connectors should never be used. They are notorious for causing intermittent and incomplete connections.

I removed each plug from it's plastic connection that way you can splice a 1/4" piece off of coating, solder the Izzie wire to this then you can slip shrink wrap over the connection and reinsert. I guess it's the same as above your just not cutting the OEM wire. Little more work but it looks cleaner (not that you see it) "OCD" . I always use shrink wrap instead of electrical tape.
