Bummer.

In CA U just get it signed off by any cop, then pay it at the court. No extra fees. U can even pay online

I tried the no plate thing for one summer, and I was fined $172.50.. Not worth it, just mount your plate.

If I'd get a fix-it ticket, I'd still need to mount a plate properly to get it signed off..so it's just back to my original post. In San Francisco, cops often give fix-it tickets even for having the license plate on the windshield.

Anyways, my plate bracket on the tow hook location is drooping/tilting overtime . I'd much rather have it mounted on the bumper, guess I'll pull the bumper to fix the threaded insert thingy.

I've gotten pulled over a few times for no front plate late at night in San Diego and it's turned into cops trying to perform field sobriety tests or just a hassle overall. Even if I'm 100% innocent I want to minimize my interactions with law enforcement as much as possible. Don't need anyone poking around my car.

I bought an old-school 1950's Jaguar license plate holder from eBay and drilled a new hole to use it to span under my splitter and be held in place by the middle front bumper bolt.

I put it in my contract when I bought mine new in 2003 to not install the front plate. Still don't have one. Never got a ticket for it. Guess being over 40 and not driving like an idiot works for me.

Over 40, stock not riced out car, and I've received three - all when parked. Three totally different cities too! Illinois needs money.

For those with the RHO relocator kit, does it stick out a lot? The previous owner included the Dewhel kit when i purchased my s2k. I installed it and removed it immediately because it stuck out 2inches away from the bumper.
