Default Reman steering rack

I have been juggling around the possibility of my steering rack being the culprit for my issues for a few weeks now, but I can't think of a way to justify the price of a new one from Honda and don't want to trust someone with a parts car that has been wrecked to get a used one. I have come across a EBay listing from BuyAutoParts but I haven't ever heard of them before. Has anyone used them for either their S or another car? Any issues, horror stories, problems that you've heard of? I'd hate to spend $1000 on something that isn't worth it.

I need one for my restore project car I want to use an Ap1 in my ap2 for shorter steering rack ratio but I'm thinking of just buying a brand new one from Honda because I'm also scared of getting screwed from something not rebuilt right it's way too much money to get screwed on. Just my 2 cents

Looks like we're on the same boat then, I just don't want to spend the money for a new one in all honesty. It was cheaper to put a new steering rack in my old M3 lol

Is yours issue related to the torque sensor? Some threads address the problem by cleaning and relubricating the thing.

Get a used rack. Reman S2000 racks are a joke anway. I tried to find a company who reman them to sell me a gutted unit and I couldnt find anyone who actually did it besides sand blasting or painting...
