Default Replacement LED 3rd taillight won't work

Hey guys, here's my problem and what I've tried so far.

My current trunk brake light has a crack and I bought an aftermarket LED light to replace it and it won't work. The old one works perfectly fine but the replacement doesn't.

Things I've tested:
  • Checked voltage at connector for light and got 11.7 volts
  • Touched replacement light wires to battery and the light came on
  • Added load resistor since the replacement draws less and still didn't work.
Any ideas to what it could be? Appreciate the help in advance, thanks.

This is the second one though, the first one I bought I plugged it in and it didn't turn on so I just assumed it was completely broken but it probably was just the same problem I'm having now.
