Red face UK MOD Thoughts\Suggestions

Greetings!

I had a 2004 acura tl and the v6 sounded good.

I Just got a S2000 and the stock exhaust doesn't sing. i'm in my 40s now so i don't want anything too loud. I saw the greddy, and nvidia exhaust but i want something more tame. I like the idea of the UK Mod 38mm?

Anyone have videos? i tried to search but it's down atm.

Thanks everyone

I've gone with a 1.5 inch (38mm) outer diameter and now a 38mm inner diameter (1.75inch outer) and IMO the 38mm inner sounds better. I get some real nice bubbles/ exhaust pops when I down shift to decelerate and it's glorious. Also, with a resonated test pipe and a k&n intake the 38mm sounds a lot like a g35 or g37. With the stock cat and intake my 38mm UK mod didn't change the sound enough for me, which is why I've run a test pipe both times.

From what i've noticed, yeah. I ran it for about a week with the uk mod and stock cat and other than a little sound change I didnt notice as much of a difference as I wanted, so I added a test pipe and it sounds amazing now. It may have popped before but if it did, it was too quiet to notice. If I had to do it over again I probably would go with a 1.75 or 2 inch id pipe just to get a little more burble upon decel. Now that i think about it though, when I had the 1.5 inch outer diameter pipe on my previous s2k with a resonated test pipe I dont remember getting any pops or burbles but that could have been due to the resonated tp or the slighly smaller pipe. With a test pipe I dont think my exhaust is that loud at all, under 3k its pretty much inaudible but 3-5k it opens up nicely and gets decently loud (but still mature), and then sounds amazing in vtec.
