Numbers seem about 15-20whp high... My graph is a few posts before this and I have a few more/better mods making same power and 240whp is still strong even for my mods... something doesn't seem right unless you have a freak motor lol... according to the graph vtec looks like it is still set very high especially with a test pipe

I checked the flashpro, vtec window is showing 3400-4500 rpm. I try not to get caught up in dyno numbers but it could be a factory freak. The guys at PTuning said my car was the highest n/a s2000 on their dyno. I did have them do a valve adjustment but they use the oem specs, so nothing special there. I'm happy though and the car feels very strong, quite different from stock.

I guess the original owner did a good job breaking in the motor. I suspect he is/was a member here since I noticed I have those seat locks, too bad it didn't come with the key though

Got tuned by Kenny at Speed factory. Final number were 229whp and 154ft lbs after we made an intake adjustment
2003 AP1 stock engine
AEM Infinity
4" intake with 3" 90 temporarily in place. Car made 220whp with the 4" pipe alone
Ballade 70mm throttle body
Oem header
Cat less Berk 3" exhaust, extra Vibrant resonator.

Kenny said the dip at 5500 is likely due to the 4" to 3" transition being to great. Going to switch the intake from 3" to 3.5" or 3.5" to 4" and see what the car likes best.
On the comparison dyno there was a 12whp difference at 8500 between the 4" intake and adding 18" of 3" pipe, though it did lose 8 hp at 5500 or so.

Final numbers

4" alone vs 18" of 3" piping added was worth 12 whp and 8 ft lbs at 8500 rpm with no other changes.

Heres my set up.

2005 AP2 Sebring Silver Metallic (81K miles on block and about 5K miles on cylinder head)

Tuned on Mustang Dyno

The dyno graph is from the previous tune which was with 93 octane. Since then I converted to E85 flex fuel. I didn't have a picture of the graph with the flex fuel tune. I will note that we ran out of air and fuel injectors which is why we had a decrease in the top end. Plus it was two different Mustang dynes that I was on. ...currently researching for a new manifold, throttle body and fuel injectors...

Mod list...I will put what I had at the time with the graph attached and the current mods in red bold.

Tuned on 93 pump gas (Now on E85 with flex fuel)
Stock bottom end. Redline 9000 RPM (New 8500 RPM)
PasswordJDM carbon fiber intake system
Ballade sports 70mm throttle body
Ballade sports 69mm bored 2005 intake manifold
RDX injectors
Haltech Platinum Plug in Pro ECU (Added an I/O expander)
4Piston CNC head with full Ferrea valve train.
Skunk2 mega power header
Invidia 60mm test pipe (Switched to Invidia 70mm test pipe)
Tanabe Medallion exhaust (Removed Tanabe and added an HKS Hi Power Single)

First tune was 263hp/160lb-ft to the wheels
Latest tune (on 93 and E85 made about the same) 242hp/150lb-ft to the wheels

Almost been a year since I first dyno'd, at the time I had:
- K&N FIPK
- Mugen Header
- Berk Tech header back
- (I don't know if it was tuned beforehand)

I recently purchcased a Berk Tech test pipe and Tomei Expreme exhaust, also waiting to get another intake system I don't know which one yet. Going to buy a flashpro and either go to Church's or email Gernby for an eTune. Any input on who is better per say?

Gernby hands down. He takes care of all aspects of the map. Part-throttle, WOT, and idle. You'd have to pay lots of dyno time to get all those aspects tuned at a shop. My .02 cents..

Cool thanks I've been hearing good reviews about Gernby, I have a 2006 AP2. I'm picking up a bumper and fenders on 6/2 so the tune will have to wait

Which bumper and fender are you getting? I'm the guy that bought the OEM hood from you btw..
