Aftermarket cams reliability

Not sure if I misunderstand Aurex but there's a gap in center of the cams, so caps will never wear there.
Picture from my oem cams with horrible wear, not sure why but my guess was that caps were torqued incorrect.

These are OEM cams!?!?!?
What year?
How many miles on them, have these ever been out and put back in?
That almost has to be a torque issue. Has anybody ever checked the cam bearing clearances, according to Honda specs, it should be pretty tight, it should be between 0.002' and 0.004", Look on page 6-37

The wear is so uniform on these that it has to be either complete oil starvation to the entire head, or over-torquing.
Someone with the bearing wear issue need to plastic-guage the bearings to see it they're within spec.

Yes OEM cams, it's a 2003 with under 40k miles.
I made a thread about it here https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-un...-wear-1150039/
Pretty sure the cause was some incompetent idiot that messed up during install, probably at the same time the cam gears were fitted reversed.

I'd say that based on this experience with the OE cams, I'd say its pretty likely that over torqueing and/or improper installation is probably what caused the issues with the BC/Skunk cams.
If you look at the factory S2000 manual (linked above), Honda is very specific about the torque sequence, and you really have to plasti-guage everything to make sure the clearances are correct.
