Greetings Drivers,
Round 3 could only be categorized one way. Perfect conditions. Unseasonably cool weather (helped by some saturday rain), combined with light attendance due to the Long Beach grand prix set the stage for a day full of personal bests, and close competition.
We had a total of 19 drivers make it out
Stock class had 3 drivers with top honors going to S2KChallenge newcomer Kevin Pham with an astonishing 2:03.932 which he described as a full 10/10ths lap. 2nd place goes to our stock class points leader so far Yukio Kishimoto with a 2:07.960 and 3rd place was claimed by Devin Chen with a 2:34.508. Awesome driving guys.
Street class showed a return to form with a strong 6 driver field all showing their wingless chops. Top honors went to nor-cal hot shoe Sohan Kota dropping a personal best of 2:01.502 in green 2. 2nd place was claimed by Mingkai Guo with a 2:03.489 and 3rd place went to challenge newcomer Brook Hammerschmidt with a 2:03.912. 4th was taken by Ryan LaFontaine with a 2:04.645, 5th went to Jesse Jia with a 2:06.391 and 6th went to Kevin Tarson with a 2:09.870.
Mod class boasted an 8 driver field with some shocking times and competition happening at the pointy end. On top for the day was Jeff Ringer with a new personal best of 1:56.303, followed closely by Richard Huang with a 1:57.057 (richard broke into the 1:56's later that day in a non competition session). Filling out the podium was Ryan Delgrosso with a 2:00.168, Ryan cracked the 2 minute mark for the first time in a non competition session as well. 4th place was claimed by Jacob Stone with a 2:01.320, 5th went to Man Chun Chuan with a 2:01.340 (yes thats 2 hundredths) while 6th went to the freshly de-boosted Eric Desmore with a new PB of 2:03.268. Cevin Burke grabbed 7th with a new PB of 2:06.293 and 8th went to YuAn Chen with a 2:10.245
Supermod showed a field of just 2 drivers. top honors went to Norman Kung piloting his freshly supercharged monster to a 2:00.046 with Walter Chen grabbing 2nd with a 2:07.669
Great driving everyone, amazing to see so many personal bests in one day and 2 drivers cracking into 1:56's.
As always huge thanks to our sponsors Maxxis Tires, Speed Ventures, 949 Racing, Rockstar Garage and Trackspec Motorsports.
Round 4 is in 1 month on Sunday May 14th Streets of Willow, the last socal event before the heat of summer starts up!

What a great weekend! Perfect weather for setting some fast times. I hadn't driven the car in 6 months, not since S2K Challenge at Buttonwillow last October, and I really missed it.
I didn't get my 2:01.502 on camera but I got a 2:01.755 recorded while chasing down a 991 GT3 with a GTR in front of it. I didn't get that close but it's still fun. I also f*** up Phil Hill every single time in this video, including the warmup lap, until I eventually spin at 21:37 after turning in waaaay too late. Cheers! See y'all at the next one!
P.S. Hey anorexicpoodle how do I claim my $50 prize?! I have a lot of stuff to buy and I'm broke.
