According to Greg's response to me most the TTC cars will got to 4 and the TTD field will fit into TT5 which is unfortunate.

This is super disappointing if it's true. I was really hoping to be decently competitive for TT5 next year locally, have some fun and win some tires, I don't have the funds or desire to go HP hunting for TT4.

In terms of fast laps:
I feel RC1s are on par with R888s.
R888s seem to be on par with RS3s.

NT01s feel significantly better than RC1s. Haven't had a chance to drive on RE71Rs, but hear they are as fast as a NT01, if not faster in some cases.

So,in order of preference for me:
1. NT01 / RE71R
2. RA1
3. RC1
4. RS3
5. R888

I will politely disagree:

1. RC1
2. RE71R
3. NT01/RR
4. R888/RA1 (only buy RA1s as rain tires)
5. RS3

What I find interesting is you put the R888 and RA1 on the same level, despite the RA1 being universally faster.

I have used the RC1s on two different vehicles (S2000 and Noble) and they don't have the grip as the RA1s or the NT01s that I've used. But, everyone's experience is different.

Curious, why are trofeo R's not on your list for consideration?

I was going to go with Trofeo R's until I saw how wide they run. I'd have to get my fenders rolled just to put a 255 on.

Hey Bret, what wheels are you running now? PS we went and got the second S for her like we were talking about at the dragon. One is just track now!

Universally faster? The R888 was a replacement tire for the RA1. They are definitely on the same level. We only raced the R888 for one or two seasons in SpecE30 because people were getting grooves of death and the R888 was overall a shit tire. Still the grip was on par with the RA1. There are also old RA1s where they were fast till they corded, and new RA1s where they heat cycle out. You want to be fast you shave them to 2/32. You want them to last three race weekends, you shave them to 3/32 or 4/32. I have only used 275 width RC1s on my 375 whp S2000, and the grip felt fine. I have also run my S2000 on the NT01, and I have raced my SpecE30 on the RRs. The only tire I listed that I haven't personally used are the Hoosierstones, but I am going off what I have read and heard and seen about them.
