S2000 Shift light setup & beeper
Hey, I was trying to look in forums for recent post about shift light indicators that are progressive to sit on the top of steering wheel hub. Anyone recommend a specific brand or setup to use. I saw old posters used the Shift I-indicator but it seems discontinued.

I'm with Kenny.
The shift beeper sounds like an alarm clock in the lower gears. Ringgggg! In the higher gears it's more like beep-beep-beep-shift. Very easy to time it.
The tach flashes once you get into the red area but my eyes are too far down the road to pay attention to the dash.

I have the Modifry as well.
With ear plugs, a gutted car, a loud exhaust and the placement of your beeper you may have a hard time hearing the beeper, that's why some people prefer or add the visual cue of a shift light.

Thanks for the responses. I mainly need some visual or sound aid since I have a hard time seeing the tachymeter since it is blocked by the steering wheel at top when I am doing track events.

Yes, I've had a few track-only customers mention that they added an indicator light that they purchased elsewhere. The shift beeper module will safely drive a 1-amp load so it can run the beeper (about 80ma) and most aftermarket 12v shift lights, certainly any that are LED-based. Incandescent lamps might be pushing the current limit, and since they take a couple hundredths of a second to light up the short pulse from the module might not provide enough brightness.

In that case I think the shift beeper would work perfectly for you, and as Modifry mentioned, in the event you still feel you need an additional reference point, you can always add a shift light that would be triggered by the shift beeper.
